Calling all community groups in Stowmarket
Community Groups in and around Stowmarket are being encouraged to come forward and express any interest they may have in a possible new Creative Community Centre for the town.

Swine flu
In light of the developing situation around swine flu cases in Mexico, the US and some other countries, NHS Suffolk would like to reassure members of the public that the risk of catching this influenza is very low. A leaflet, called Information about Swine Flu (PDF, 119Kb), which has  important information and key contacts in, is being sent to every household in the UK.

Racial Equality Scheme
Mid Suffolk District Council has recently reviewed its Racial Equality Scheme 2009-2012. It is now out for consultation for residents and staff to comment on it. It will be reviewed in light of the feedback, once the consultation has closed.

Talking about Telling
Suffolk County Council is gathering views of people, families and organisations on the best way to report a 'Hate Incident'
or 'Hate Crime'. The feedback will link into the best way to report a ‘Hate Incident’ or ‘Hate Crime’ The feedback will link into the Racial Harassment Initiative and the new service. Closing date: 15 July 2009
