An Introduction to Best Value

The Best Value Performance Plan (BVPP) is a document that we as a Council have a statutory duty to produce by the 30 June each year.

It contains:

  • A statement of the Council's operational position
  • What the Council’s Ambition, Direction and Priorities are
  • How we are linking the Council’s priorities with the need / wants / desires of the residents of Mid Suffolk. This is done through the work of the Local Strategic Partnership and the Community Strategy
  • Innovative new ways that the Council is providing services and contact with the residents of the District
  • Reports on what individual services have undertaken in the last year, and outlines what we are planning to do in the year ahead
  • Comprehensive Performance Assessment (CPA), which is the government’s way of monitoring how Councils perform
  • How and what monies we receive and how we spend it on your services
  • What we are doing to provide better and more effective services
  • Who to contact if you have a query or problem
