2004 European Elections
European Parliamentary Elections took place in the United Kingdom on Thursday, 10th June 2004.

The European Parliamentary elections are held in electoral regions. There are twelve electoral regions in the United Kingdom. The Regional Returning Officer for the Eastern Region is David Monks, Chief Executive of Huntingdonshire District Council. The Eastern Region covers 48 local authorities as listed below:-

As a result of the election on the 10th June 2004, the political composition of MEPs (Members of the European Parliament) for the Eastern Region is:

The turnout in the Mid Suffolk area was 39.8%.
