Mid Suffolk District Council recognises that some people can
be disadvantaged and discriminated against, as employees and as
service users. The Council is commited to developing policies
and practices to tackle inequality and exclusion.
Charlie Adan, Chief Executive to Babergh and Mid Suffolk
District Council’s giving her views on equality and diversity when
joining the organisation made the following statement:-
"I am aiming to be Chief Executive of an organisation that
reflects and meets the needs of our diverse communities. I
don't believe in just doing this because we have statutory duties,
but because we need to and should want to do the best for all our
communities. I will be encouraging all colleagues; staff and
elected councillors to work hard to make that a reality."
