The Freedom of Information Scheme published in December 2008 has been produced using the definition document of the Model Publication Scheme for principal local authorities issued by the Information Commissioner in July 2008.

The Council aims to make as much information as possible available without the need to make a specific Freedom of Information request, and the purpose of the document is to provide pointers to the material that is available.

Most of the information listed is available on this web site.  Where this is not possible (for instance, some public registers are only available in paper form at present) you should be able to inspect the document or have copies of most papers.
