The Drinkstone Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) has been prepared by Drinkstone Parish Council and will be used to help guide and shape future development in the parish.

Reg 20 Formal Adoption (May 2021)

In an 'out of meeting' decision taken on 19 May 2021, Mid Suffolk District Council resolved to 'make' (adopt) the Drinkstone NDP. This followed a majority 'yes' vote in favour of doing so by local residents.

This NDP now forms part of the development plan for the district. It will be used to help determine planning applications in the parish of Drinkstone unless material considerations indicate otherwise.

Local Referendum (6 May 2021) 

Reg 18 Decision Statement (June 2020)

The decision that this NDP should proceed to referendum was made by Mid Suffolk Cabinet on 9 June 2020. 

Reg 17 Independent Examination (Apr 2020)

The Drinkstone NDP was independently examined by Ann Skippers BSc (Hons) MRTPI FHEA FRSA AoU. The examination was conducted through written correspondence.

Reg 16 Submission Consultation (16 Dec 2019 – 7 Feb 2020)

Consultation on the submission draft NDP was carried out in accordance with Regulation 16 of the Neighbourhood Planning Regulations 2012 (as amended).

SEA/HRA Screening & Determination (Oct 2019)

The pre-submission draft NDP was screened to determine whether a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) and/or Habitats Assessment (HRA) were needed. Both were 'screened-out'. A copy of the relevant report and Notices of Determination are published below:
