Permit Application - Integrated Pollution Prevention & Control Regulations, 2000

Mid Suffolk District Council refused an application by Mr John Clarke to issue a permit for a rendering operation at his premises in Rookery Farm, Drinkstone.  Mr Clarke appealed against this decision and following a public inquiry, during March and April, 2008, the inspector found in favour of Mr Clarke and directed  the Council to issue a permit. The Council has resolved to challenge this decision via a judicial review. The timetable for this is not yet known.
