The East of England Environment Index

The Business in the Community Environment Index is the UK’s leading self-assessed corporate environmental benchmarking tool.  It enables organisations to measure their impact on the environment and compare performance.  The East of England Environment Index is part of the Business in the Community Environment Index and is open to organisations, of all sizes, with headquarters or a significant presence in the East of England. It is sponsored by the East of England Development Agency, which helps organisations identify more efficient ways of managing their resources.

Mid Suffolk District Council participated in the East of England Environment Index 2008 which bench marks performance against others in the sector and those in the East of England Region. 31 organisations completed the East of England Environment Index in 2008.
