Private Rented Flats and Bedsits
Buy a local newspaper, early in the morning and contact the landlord as soon as possible. If you wait until the evening paper, properties are likely to have been let.

Check the adverts for flats and bedsits in paper shops and post offices.

Advertise “flat wanted” yourself in the local paper, shops or community centre, but please use a P.O. Box Number rather than a direct address or telephone number.

Flats are often let to friends of a tenant who are leaving. Let your friends and workmates know that you are looking for accommodation and get in touch with the landlord.
