Current housing consultations
This page provides information on consultations that are currently taking place within Mid Suffolk District Council's Housing department. All consultation details will be posted on this page, usually alongside a set of questions to be completed and sent back to the Council. The aim of consultation within the Housing department is to gather the opinions of our customers on how we run our housing service and to comply with the Suffolk Compact, of which we are a signatory.

Please see details below of any consultations currently taking place.

Proposed addition to the Tenants Incentive Scheme Policy

The Council is proposing to use the Tenants Incentive Scheme payment in circumstances when a tenant needs to move from a general needs property into an existing adapted property that has become vacant. This would allow the Council to make best use of adapted stock and could reduce the time a tenant remains in a property which does not meet their needs. It would also help target funding for adaptations towards cases where a move is not possible and free up a general needs property for other people in housing need. Want to have your say? Contact Aimi Serjeant, Housing Policy Officer using the details below either by phone, email, post, or by visiting the Council’s offices.

Closing date: Tuesday 21st September.
