Housing Enabling

This is a key role for MSDC as it enables us to work towards achieving one of our Strategic Plan Priorities for 2008-2011 ‘Affordable and Decent Housing’.

The Housing Enabling role is one of facilitator/co-ordinator and is underpinned by partnership working.

It brings together external parties such as Parish Councils, Housing Associations, Rural Housing Enablers, The Housing Corporation, Suffolk County Council, Developers, and working internally with the Land Officer, Planning Policy and Development Control colleagues as well as Legal Officers. It also involves working closely with our Regional and Sub Regional colleagues.
