Sheltered housing and support in Suffolk

Mid Suffolk District Council has 24 sheltered housing schemes throughout the district designed for people over 60 who are able to live independently but would like the benefits of a daily visit from a warden and an alarm to summon help in an emergency.

Some schemes are made up of flats, others are small groups of bungalows. Most have a communal lounge and laundry and some have a guest room for visitors. There are also social activities which residents can join in with if they wish.

Sheltered accommodation is open to owner occupiers as well as to people living in rented accommodation and to people who are currently living in other parts of the country. Follow the link to download Mid Suffolk District Council's Sheltered Housing User Guide.
