On Sunday 8 July, Bury St Edmunds played host to the largest Multi-Sport Festival in the County, the Suffolk Youth Games 2007!

Each District in the County competed in the seven sports competitions, Athletics (Abled & Disabled), Basketball, Girls Cricket, Badminton, Hockey, Tag Rugby & Swimming.

Mid Suffolk, entered the Games with high expectations following last years’ success. Around 90 Children aged between nine – fourteen years participated, alongside our 17 enthusiastic Coaches & Team Managers supporting their every win and defeat.

Towards the end of the day, the Sports Development Team were put through their paces, having to applaud each sports presentation, with Mid Suffolk having won a medal in the majority of Competitions.

The Sports Development Team would like to congratulate everyone involved in the day, especially the Coaches & Participants; we wish you every success at your local Clubs and beyond. We look forward to seeing some of you next year for another successful Suffolk Youth Games!
