Cedars Park residents urged to have their say

Mid Suffolk District Council, Crest Nicholson and the Cedars Park Residents Association have been working together to develop proposals for a new Community Centre and to look at  any  future development  that would enhance the  Cedars Park  area .   Residents in Cedars Park and the surrounding areas are being invited to comment on plans for a proposed new Community Centre and Village Centre.

An open evening will be taking place on Friday 9 July, between 4pm  and 8.30pm  at  Cedars Park primary  School.  Residents are being invited to the open evening to see the proposed plans and designs, and to give their thoughts and ideas on what the new Community Centre could be used for.

There will also be an opportunity to look at designs for a proposed Village Centre and to give  their thoughts on what  other facilities they may like to see.

Cllr Peter Woodley, Member for the local area  said : “Our priority is to build  community facilities that the residents want. The Community Centre and Village Centre could bring many benefits to the local community, something which the residents have been asking us for, for sometime.  By working together, with Crest Nicholson and the Residents Association, we  are  progressing  this forward to deliver some exciting new sporting and social facilities and bring a great asset to the area.  We are now at a point where we require the input from the residents themselves to make sure we are giving people what they really want and not just what we think they want ”

Following the open evening, all comments received will be collected by Crest Nicholson who will develop and firm up the plans, before submitting a planning application to the Council later this year.
