Ever wondered what really comes out in the woods at night? If
so, then why not join Mid Suffolk Countryside Rangers on an
exploration of Priestly Wood at the end of the month.
You will be able to discover the world of the owl and the badger
and find out how great your night vision is. The rangers will also
be on hand to point out stars that you can use to help you navigate
your way round in the dark evenings.
Tim Dafforn, Countryside Ranger for Mid Suffolk District Council
said: “This is an amazing adventure for adults and children, to be
safely guided through an ancient wood in the dark. People will be
presently surprised about how much the wood comes alive with
animals and birds in the dark.”
The event will be run on Thursday 30 October 2008 from 7pm-9pm.
Participants will meet at Barking Church, Barking Road nr Needham
Market and be guided across to the woods. Adults are £2.50 and
concessions are £1.50. Booking is essential as numbers are limited,
so please call: 01449 724633. Unfortunately, this is not
suitable for children under the age of eight.
