Home Grown - Sowing the seeds for Arts Events in Suffolk Communities

Arts Development charity, Creative Arts East, Mid Suffolk District Council and all other Suffolk local authorities are looking for community groups to take part in ‘Home Grown’ – an exciting arts project that will bring professional theatre and live events right into the heart of Suffolk communities.

Home Grown offers a range of opportunities and services to inspire and support community groups in Suffolk, from those who have never organised an event before, to those who have the ambition and drive to take their regular events to another level.

Cllr Diana Kearsley, Portfolio Holder for Culture and Community Services at Mid Suffolk District Council said: “This project will provide lots of useful information and advice for groups across Suffolk. Whether you’re looking to bring great theatre to your local village hall or simply want to know how best to promote your event, Home Grown intends to make things a lot easier for you to organize.”

To find out more about this fabulous opportunity, Creative Arts East and Suffolk’s local authorities are hosting Home Grown launch days across Suffolk. Each event features a morning of showcase performances and presentations, and an afternoon of advice sessions tailored to your needs. Please note that these days are free to attend, but booking is essential.

  • Saturday 23 January at Coddenham Community and Sports Hall,
  • Saturday 6 February at the Palace House, Newmarket,
  • Saturday 20 February at the Town Hall Galleries in Ipswich.
