Dangerous Structures
The Building Control Section has the
responsibility for dealing with dangerous buildings and structures
throughout the District.
Our objective is to safeguard public
safety by dealing as a matter of urgency with situations which
arise.

Demolitions
A person intending to demolish a
building is required to give notice to the Building Control Section
at least six weeks prior to commencing. You may submit your notice
in writing.
A location plan of the building
showing adjacent streets and buildings also needs to be
provided.
Statutory undertakers should also be notified so that they may
arrange for their services to be adequately disconnected.
