Stowmarket Area Action Plan

The Stowmarket Area Action Plan DPD is one of the documents that make up the Local Development Framework and will contain planning policies specifically for Stowmarket and the villages with which it shares a common boundary (Stowupland, Old Newton, Haughley, Harleston, Onehouse, Gt. Finborough, Combs, Badley and Creeting St Peter).  The purpose of the Stowmarket Area Action Plan is to establish planning policies and sites that will guide development in Stowmarket and its immediately surrounding villages.

The first stage of consultation was the Stowmarket Area Action Plan Issues and Options - Policies document in December 2008.

The Planning Policy Team are now seeking your views on the sites that have come forward through the 'land bid' process that are relevant to the area.  The aim is to help guide future development and ensure that sufficient land for employment, housing, retail and recreation is allocated within the Stowmarket Area Action Plan.
