Adopted SPD for Social Infrastructure
including Open Space, Sport and
Recreation.

The SPD supports the adoption of a local standard and provide
the mechanisms to obtain commuted sums of money from developers to
provide and manage social infrastructure including open space,
sport and recreation. The SPD supplements policy SC1 and RT4 of the
Mid Suffolk Local Plan (1998) and sets out the guidance for
developers for the provision of community facilities, sport,
recreation and open space associated with new housing in the
district. The document is based on a rigorous survey and analysis
of need and demand (the Needs Assessment).
The SPD and accompanying Sustainability Appraisal and Needs
