Only planning policies that the Secretary of State has agreed to
'save' and extend beyond the 27th September 2007 deadline (in
accordance with the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004) will
remain applicable as a material consideration when determining
planning applications.
The majority of MSDC Local Plan
policies have been saved and will continue to be used within
development control until they are replaced by adopted Development
Plan Documents which form the Local Development Framework.
