Core Strategy focused review - Regulation 27 - proposed submission

In order to demonstrate conformity between LDF documents the Council decided to review and alter certain sections of Mid Suffolk’s adopted Core Strategy (2008) with updated information that has become available following the Core Strategy’s adoption.

The Council has reviewed its Housing Policy CS8, the Employment chapter in the adopted Core Strategy (2008), and has also taken the opportunity to provide an approach to sustainable development.

A first period of consultation (under Regulation 25 of the Town and Country Planning, Local Development, England, Regulations) was held from 31 October to 9 December 2011.  Responses to this consultation have been considered by the Council and where these were relevant, incorporated within the proposed submission document we are now publicising.

The ‘proposed submission’ publication (under Regulation 27 of the Town and Country Planning, Local Development, England, Regulations) is what the Council believes should be the final document submitted to the Secretary of State.  This proposed submission publication period begins on 11 January 2012 and ends at 5pm on 22 February 2012, and enables representations to be made, in particular whether the document complies with legal requirements and is “sound”.   The Council will then review the representations and consider what, if any, changes should be put forward when the Council submits the draft document to the Secretary of State in March 2012.

The following documents must also be considered and any comments can be made as per the details below:
