Countryside Events Programme 2012 is now available online,
packed full of events for all ages.
Countryside Management
Mid Suffolk District Council’s Countryside Teams are responsible
for managing a number of sites owned by the Council and work with
landowners and other agencies to actively protect, conserve and
enhance Mid Suffolk's wider
countryside.
We aim to keep the sites we manage safe and looking clean and
attractive to visitors as well as protecting their wildlife and
landscape importance.
We are here to help visitors learn about, understand and
appreciate their local environment and the surrounding countryside,
provide opportunities to enjoy the local countryside and get
involved in its management through volunteering.
The Countryside Teams
organise a series of guided walks and children’s activities
throughout the year as well as volunteer days, educational
programmes for schools and activities for groups such as Cubs
and Brownies.
