Mid Suffolk District is a Breathing Places Community.
Our free Breathing Places event 'Wild About Your Garden' was a
great success in May. Over the summer, we've also given away lots
of lovely Breathing Places resources at our countryside events,
including nature themed booklets, reuseable bags, Nature Tales
story books and Mini Beast and Wild Child t-shirts.

This Autumn, we asked Mid Suffolk residents to take part in a
national tree event, Tree O'Clock, on Saturday 5
December to celebrate all things tree related. We gave away 250
free tree whips between 28 November and 5 December for people to
plant in their gardens and community groups across the district ran
tree planting events. Thank you to everyone who took part and
helped to make Mid Suffolk a little
leafier! |

activities and for many ideas to Do One Thing for nature near
you, logon to

Contact the Discovery Project Officer or Countryside Team if you
are interested in running a wildlife event at any time of
year, as we can discuss ideas with you and can lend you Mid
Suffolk’s Breathing Places event pack and resources,
including colourful outdoor banners to advertise
activities.

Is your school signed up to Breathing Places
Schools?
It is quick and easy to
sign up and provides great ideas to turn your
school into a wildlife haven. This term's Breathing Places Schools
activity is all about
trees.
