Applicants should note that the following key principles apply
to the Mid Suffolk Grant Aid Programme:
- Applications for grants will only be considered from Voluntary
or Community Organisations which:-

- Provide a service for the benefit of Mid Suffolk
people
- Are an area registered charity or have an agreed
constitution, and is capable of obtaining from its own funds or
other sources, the balance of the costs
- Are financially viable, as evidenced by audited or
independently examined accounts
- Have, or are intending to introduce, equal opportunities
policies for employees and volunteers
- Provides services which accord with the Council's own
priorities do not duplicate services already being provided/grant
aided, and that will meet proven identified needs. In the case of
'start up' initiatives, evidence of the need for the new service to
be supported will have to be substantiated and reflect community
demand
- Have, or are intending to introduce, systems for monitoring and
evaluating activities and outcomes of the services to be
funded.
