The Amplitude project has been running weekly music sessions across Mid Suffolk for the past 3 years. These sessions cover many aspects of music making including guitar, bass, drum, keyboards and vocal tuition as well as guided band rehearsals, digital recording facilities and opportunities for live performance.

These sessions are designed for 11 –25 year olds, and take place in a variety of venues across the district. Amplitude tutors have a broad equipment bank for participants to use, although people are welcome to bring their own gear. Please be aware that use of your electrical equipment will be subject to a visual check by the tutors, and participants will not be allowed to use any piece of equipment that fails that check.

Weekly sessions run during term time from 6.30pm-8.30pm. Tutors will run summer school and half-term activity on demand.
The cost per 2-hour session is £5

Professional musicians, all carefully selected for their relevant and specialist experience, run the workshops. Many are gigging musicians, while others have broader music industry backgrounds – so whether you’re in to playing, dj-ing, song writing or gig management, Amplitude can help you develop your skills.
