Suffolk Digital Cinema Network

The Suffolk Digital Cinema Network was created in 2003 as a constituted, not-for-profit association, designed to provide communities with access to digital cinema.

The network is open to all Suffolk-based local authorities, towns and parish councils, village hall committees, film societies, amateur and professional arts organisations.

Its mission is to:

Further the development of cinema in Suffolk, particularly digital cinema, especially in communities that perceive themselves not to be well served by existing provision.

Nurture a sustainable network of not-for-profit community cinema promoters within Suffolk, by providing practical help including access to appropriate digital technology and to appropriate professional support.

To undertake marketing initiatives aimed at increasing audiences for both community and commercial cinema in Suffolk.

To date, 30 organisations have signed up to the network, including nine groups based in Mid Suffolk. To find out how to join, or what’s screening in a village hall near you, please go to www.suffolkcinema.org
