Eye Airfield Development Framework
A Framework for the future Development of Eye Airfield has been produced by Mid Suffolk.The document provides a vision for how this strategic growth site, which is 135ha in total and is located alongside the A140, could be developed over the next 20 years.
The site has the potential to provide up to 3000 new jobs and offer additional space for local businesses to expand and grow, as well as attracting inward investment into the north of the district to support economic growth. A small amount of residential development has also been identified along with new public open space and improvements to cycle and footpaths.
The Development Framework has been put together after extensive consultation with local businesses, land owners, stakeholders and residents.

What happens now?
Mid Suffolk District Council are now considering the various planning options to enable future development.
