Emergency Planning

The recent events that have affected Suffolk, such as St Jude's Storm, East Coast Tidal Surge & localised flooding in February and June 2014, have demonstrated the need for all of us to be prepared.  Within the county, responding agencies, as part of the Suffolk Resilience Forum, have considered the risks and prepared a number of emergency response plans.

The Council & local community volunteers may be called upon to help the emergency services during an incident.  We all need to be prepared to cope with situations such as flooding, fires and weather related events.

This page will help you to be prepared by giving advice and guidance on what you need to do if an incident occurs, and to see the plans that Mid Suffolk District Council have prepared, click here.

Additionally specific warnings, advice and guidance are available from a number of organisations.

If you would like further information please contact us on emergencyplanning@midsuffolk.gov.uk or call 01449 724851 or 01284 758460.  In the event of an emergency dial 999.
