Environmental Protection
Councils deal with complaints and enquiries relating to a wide spectrum of environmental issues. These include:
- Complaints of noise nuisance
- Complaints regarding other statutory nuisances e.g. smoke, dust, accumulations, odour from commercial premises etc
- The assessment of air quality
- Identification of, and development on, contaminated land
- Environmental permits
