How do I pay my housing rent?
The Council offers you a range of different ways to pay your rent:
- At the Council Offices
- Direct Debit
- Standing order
- Debit or credit card

Who should I contact about rent arrears?
Tell us straight away if you are having problems paying your rent by calling 01449 724770. Debt problems only get worse if you ignore them. We will discuss your circumstances in confidence and we will always try to find an arrangement for you to pay your rent plus an amount to clear arrears, according to your debt and ability to pay.

Where should I go for debt advice or money worries?
If you need debt advice or have money worries call us on 01449 724770 and we can help you by putting you in contact with organisations who can help you manage your finances such as the Citizens Advice Bureau. We can also help you work out which of your debts are a priority any by sorting out an agreement to clear your arrears over time based on what you can afford.

Simply answer questions anonymously online about your savings, income and outgoings.to find out what benefits you may be entitled to claim.
