How do I apply for sheltered housing?
It is simple to apply for sheltered housing:

Orbit East provides two services for older people:
1. Orbit East HomeWorks HandyHelp Service (opens new window)
The Orbit East HomeWorks HandyHelp service offers assistance with minor repairs or odd jobs at your home if you are a homeowner or private tenant and:
- are over the age of 60 or
- are disabled or vulnerable and
- live in Babergh, Forest Heath, Ipswich, Mid Suffolk, Suffolk Coastal District Council, St Edmundsbury or Waveney local authority areas
2. Suffolk Home Improvement Agency (also known as Care and Repair) (opens new window).
The Suffolk Home Improvement agency provides advice, support and practical help to older homeowners and private tenants and people of any age with a disability who need help to repair, improve or adapt their home so that they can continue to live comfortably, safely and independently.

I need to speak to someone urgently about my community alarm but the office is closed. What should I do?
