The Planning Policy team prepare the development plan for Babergh and Mid Suffolk Districts. This sets out what can be built, where, and how land and buildings can be used.
Building Control deals with new buildings, extensions and alterations and offers help and advice to meet the Building Regulations. We can also provide residential and commercial Energy Performance Certificates.
The aim of the Conservation and Listed Buildings service is to provide assistance and guidance to owners of listed buildings to and to increase public awareness and appreciation.
Street Naming and Numbering is responsible for new developments, property name changes, additional or changes to a street name sign and replacement street signs.
The enforcement team’s purpose is to investigate and take appropriate action to safeguard Mid Suffolk from unlawful development.
