Lawful Development Certificates

To make certain that the existing use of a building is lawful or that your new proposal does not require planning permission, you may want to apply for a Lawful Development Certificate. This is not compulsory but it is possible you will need one to confirm that the use, operation or activity named in it is lawful for planning control purposes.  You are encouraged to contact the planning team direct to discuss this matter and the best application to make.  Please note we work with the joint Suffolk Legal Services in respect of Certificates and are therefore dependent on their instruction in these matters.
