You have the right to ask us for any information we hold so long as it is not personal information about someone else. We will make it available to you if we have it so long as there is no legal reason why we can't.
The Data Protection Act was introduced to protect personal data - that is data about an individual. You have the right to request information held about you.
FOI Publication Scheme - The Council's Publication Scheme has been produced using the 'Model Publication Scheme' as issued by the Information Commissioner. It is our aim to make as much information as possible available without the need to make a specific Freedom of Information request, and the purpose of the document is to provide pointers to the material that is available. Most of the information listed is available on this web site. Where this is not possible (for instance, some public registers are only available in paper form at present) you should be able to inspect the document or have copies of most papers.
Please note that the Publication Scheme and schedule of charges is currently under review and an new and updated version will be available later in the year. For any enquiries relating to the Scheme, please email: Dataprotection
