Food sampling
The Food and Safety service regularly undertake sampling throughout the district. We sample to ensure that the food and water that you consume is safe to eat. The majority of the samples are informal, which is mainly a surveillance exercise where samples are purchased anonymously, as a customer. The type of food we take often form part of a special projects organised locally or nationally. If a sample of food has been taken from your premises you will be notified of the results in due course.
