Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils have been deactivated their Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP) today 5 December 2019.
The councils will continue to monitor the weather conditions in the days ahead.
SWEP arrangements are initiated when the night time temperature is predicted to be zero degrees or below for three consecutive nights. The protocol may also apply in the event of other exceptional adverse weather conditions.
When SWEP is in place, the Housing Solutions Team seeks to ensure that no one has to sleep rough, including those without recourse to public funds.
