Rough Sleeping

If you are sleeping rough or aware of a rough sleeper in the Babergh or Mid Suffolk area, please contact us

You can also contact StreetLink

StreetLink is a website, mobile phone app and telephone service through which people can report when they see someone sleeping rough by sending an alert that connects that person to local services for support.

Severe Weather Emergency Provision (SWEP)

SWEP arrangements are initiated when the night time temperature is predicted to be zero degrees or below for three consecutive nights. The SWEP may also apply in the event of other exceptional adverse weather conditions.

When SWEP is in place, the Housing Solutions Team seeks to ensure that no one has to sleep rough, including those without recourse to public funds.
