We recommend that you use smoke alarms in the main rooms of your home. They should meet the British Standard 5446: Part 1, and have the British Standard Kitemark.
You should change the battery each year, unless you use 10-year batteries.
Test the battery each month and keep the alarm clean by vacuuming the inside regularly.
