Updated 23 March 2020
We are currently dealing with an unprecedented situation and following government advice to help delay the spread of the virus, we are reducing our repairs service to focus on the delivery of essential work only in occupied homes.
With immediate effect (23 March) our Building Services teams will only carry out emergency works where there is a risk to people or significant property damage including but not limited to; power cuts, uncontrollable leaks or floods, blocked drains, insecure doors or windows, fire alarm faults and other repairs that cannot be put off.
Please help us to continue providing vital services by only requesting repairs if they are either an emergency or are essential, until further notice.
When carrying out essential emergency repairs for tenants we will contact tenants in advance of their appointment to ask how they are feeling and use this to decide on the best approach. We will follow best practice wherever possible on social isolating and distancing.
While we are attending to an essential repair in your home please consider the safety of yourself and our staff and make provision to isolate yourself in another room.
Where planned improvement works or safety inspections and servicing are taking place, we are making every effort to complete these as planned, although some works may be paused if our resources (such as staff and supplies) are reduced.
