Cllr Margaret Maybury, Babergh District Council’s Cabinet Member for Communities said, “With the numbers of people affected by Dementia rising at an alarming rate, I can’t think of a better way to help raise funds to tackle this dreadful disease. Walking with a group of family or friends in our lovely countryside is a wonderful way for people of all ages to come together and do something to improve the lives of those living with the effects of this illness”
The walk has captured the whole community and Jerry who inspired the first walk has done an amazing job encouraging local businesses to support this year’s walk. Whether that be providing water, useful and informative information or by making tasty treats for all to enjoy. Fundraising this year is in aid of Decaf at The Bridge and the Ansell Memories Café, supporting families to live well with dementia.
