Mid Suffolk District Council have published a Position Statement demonstrating over 5 Years Housing Land Supply, in excess of the minimum required by the National Planning Policy Framework.
The Position Statement is available on the council's website, demonstrating a 5.06 Year Housing Land Supply.
Cllr Glen Horn, Mid Suffolk District Council’s Cabinet Member for Planning, said: “With strict new standards of evidence required when demonstrating a land supply, our team have been hard at work gathering details of forthcoming development and crunching the numbers and we’re pleased to announce that we can demonstrate over 5 years of Land Supply even under these new criteria. While I believe we have consistently had a 5 Year supply over the last 6 months, we can now evidence that position to the satisfaction of the National Planning Policy Framework. A 5 Year Land Supply is only one part of the picture when it comes to dealing with planning applications, but we know many of our residents consider it an important part and we hope this news will give them confidence, knowing we’re dedicated to building the right homes in the right places for our communities.”
