S106 refers to legal agreements securing planning obligations under Section 106 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 (as amended), which are a mechanism to secure developer contributions or to restrict the use of land which make a development proposal acceptable in planning terms, that would not otherwise be acceptable.
Copies of the agreements can be seen on the councils planning pages, by searching on the planning application reference number, the site address or postcode.
We are one of three pilot authority groups working with software suppliers Exacom to make CIL income and expenditure information more accessible so that you can search for developer contributions (CIL and s106) information in relation to your parish, ward or district area to identify how much CIL and s106 income may be due, how much has been received and the funds that have been allocated to infrastructure projects and to parish and town councils for spending. We have now reached a point where we are testing systems and we will update this page as soon as more information about a project implementation timeline becomes available. Exacom are commencing a promotion of the software and we are likely to launch this software and go live on our website in the Summer 2018.
