The Hoxne Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) is being prepared by Hoxne Parish Council and the local community. When complete, it will be used to help guide and shape future development in the plan's area.

Reg 15 Submission (late December 2022)

The Hoxne NDP has now been submitted to Mid Suffolk District Council. It will now be checked to make sure that the relevant requirements have been met and, if appropriate to do so, will be made available for public consultation in future.

SEA and HRA screening and determination (February 2022)

The pre-submission draft NDP was screened to decide whether a strategic environmental assessment (SEA) and or a habitats regulations assessment (HRA) were needed. The need for an SEA was 'screened in'. The need for an HRA was 'screened-out'. The relevant reports and determination notices are published below:

Reg 14 Pre-submission Consultation (10 January to 23 February 2022)

Consultation on the pre-submission draft version Hoxne NDP closed on 23 February 2022.

Reg 05 Area Designation (August 2019)

On 23 August 2019, Hoxne Parish Council submitted an application to define the boundary of their Neighbourhood Plan. Under the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended), Mid Suffolk District Council confirmed the designated NDP area on 27 August 2019. A notice to this effect, a copy of the application, and a map identifying the NDP area can be viewed below:
