Stowupland Neighbourhood Plan

The Stowupland Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) is being prepared by Stowupland Parish Council. When complete it may set out the views of the community about:

  • Establishing planning policies for the development and use of land;
  • Locations within the parish where new homes, employment and community uses should be located, and
  • the appearance and design of any new buildings constructed

Stage 3. Reg 14 Pre-submission Consultation (14 Jun - 27 Jul 2018)

Stowupland Parish Council have published a draft (Pre-submission) version of their NDP for public consultation. The consultation period runs from Thur 14 June until 12:00 noon on Fri 27 July 2018. To view the draft NDP, the supporting documents, and to find out how and where to submit your comments please see the parish council website.

Stage 2. Preparing a draft NDP

The Stowupland NDP has been prepared by the Parish Council and NDP Working Group. 

Stage 1. Area Designation (Feb 2015)

In November 2014, the Parish Council submitted an Area Designation Application to define the boundary of the Neighbourhood Plan area. The publication period began on 12 December 2014 and closed on 30 January 2015. Under the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended), Mid Suffolk District Council confirmed the designated NDP Area on 3 February 2015 .
