Where is your new customer access point in Sudbury?

We are located at Sudbury library - in the old tourist information area, near the entrance.

When will you be there?

In line with the government's roadmap, Sudbury Library will reopen on Monday 12 April 2021.

We will continue to offer appointments to those who need them. Council staff will be available Monday and Thursday every week, from 10am - 1.30pm and 2pm - 4.30pm.

Do I need an appointment to see you?

Yes, for now - so as to help keep you, and our staff, safe during the ongoing pandemic.

By operating on an appointment-only basis, we can ensure appropriate measures (such as social distancing) are in place during your visit.

How do I book an appointment?

You can call 0300 1234000 and choose Option 7.

There are lots of ways to contact us when we are not at the library.

If needed, we can also book in a face-to-face appointment with you.

Library staff will also be available throughout the week. They will be able to help you get in touch with us.

What measures will you have in place to minimise the spread of COVID-19?

We are currently operating on an appointment basis. This is to help reduce the numbers of people accessing the service at the same time.

What we ask of you before/when attending your appointment:

  • Check whether you can find/do what you need to online, or by phone, instead
  • Please observe social distancing guidelines
  • Please reschedule and do not attend your appointment if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19

What you can expect from our staff:

  • Perspex screens to help maintain social distancing
  • Use of face coverings
  • Cleaning before and after each appointment
  • Lateral flow testing twice weekly

Please note: We do not accept cash payments for any council services at the library.

To help reduce the spread of COVID-19, please make sure you do not make unnecessary trips. It is important to check whether you are able to use our online services, or call us, instead.
