Community events funded by Living Well in Winter grants.

The Living Well in Winter grant supports local organisations – including town and parish councils, village hall and playing field committees, sports clubs and centres, charities, social enterprises, community shops and community interest companies – to deliver accessible, inclusive spaces and affordable activities that help people stay connected throughout winter.

 

Monday Morning Meet Up in Mendlesham

A friendly weekly coffee morning, created to bring people together. Enjoy homemade cakes, sausage rolls, tea and coffee, and borrow books or jigsaws. There is no charge for anything, but donations are welcome.

  • When: Mondays from 10am - 12pm
  • Where: Old School Room, Old Market Street, Mendlesham
  • Price: Free. Donations welcomed

Enjoy a cosy, family-friendly café space to relax, connect, and savour your favourite brew. Discover a vibrant community hub filled with creativity, events, and friendly faces.

Craft Club: A welcoming space to work on your craft projects with others. Some sessions will include demonstrations and bookable workshops (dates to be confirmed).

Care Café: A coffee morning for carers, those cared for, the bereaved, and anyone feeling lonely. A friendly, inclusive space for conversation and support.

Village Friendship Lunch: a friendly environment where you can join friends and neighbours, chat awhile, share a meal and enjoy some fun. 10am-12pm cuppa and chat, 12pm-2pm friendship lunch with quiz, 2pm-4pm Rummikub/games
