Crisis and Resilience Fund (CRF) Grants
CRF Housing Payments
This grant was previously known as a Discretionary Housing Payment. If you receive Housing Benefit or Universal Credit Housing Element but still need a short term top up to cover your rent and eligible service charge, you may be able to get a CRF Housing Payment. This grant cannot be used to cover rent arrears.
CRF Crisis Payments
Crisis Payments were previously known as the Local Welfare Assistance Scheme.
If you are struggling with the costs such of essentials such as food, household energy or water bills, white goods, period and hygiene products, transport related costs, you may be able to get a Crisis Payment.
CRF Oil Payments
If you are struggling with the cost of a heating oil delivery, check if you are eligible for a CRF Oil Payment. This a grant of up to £350 to help with higher cost of oil to pay for part of a delivery. You should only apply when you are buying oil in the next 30 days.
CRF Help with Housing Costs
If you are unable to get a CRF Housing Payment and are struggling to pay your rent or service charges, you may be eligible for a discretionary Help with Housing Cost payment. In some circumstances, this grant can be used to cover historic rent arrears.
