The heart of Suffolk is a very special place to live and work. We have picturesque market towns, 60 conservation areas and two areas of outstanding natural beauty. It’s little wonder that we’re within the top 50 places to live in the UK.
We are proud of the districts and communities we serve.
We provide excellent services to 190,000 residents. For example, building new homes, boosting the economy, protecting the environment and keeping streets clean.
Since 2011, we have been at the vanguard of implementing new ways of working to meet our residents’ needs. This is despite the significant financial challenges faced by the public sector.
Our two councils share a Chief Executive and dedicated workforce. We also have partners in the public, private and voluntary sectors.
