A new Local Development Scheme (LDS) was agreed by Babergh and Mid Suffolk Councils in July 2018, which sets out the revised timetable for the production of the Joint Local Plan. The latest version can be found on the link below:
Although please note the Joint Local Plan Regulation 18 Draft is currently scheduled to go to Babergh District Council’s Full Council meeting on 22nd January 2019 and Mid Suffolk District Council’s Full Council meeting on 24th January 2019. A six-week public consultation is planned to commence in February 2019.
This is following changes to National Planning Policy resulting in the need for additional evidence.

To support the new Joint Local Plan the Councils are updating key evidence documents such as the Strategic Housing & Employment Land Availability Assessment (SHELAA) and Employment Land Needs Assessment (ELNA). The latest documents available are published on the link below:
