LICENSING ACT 2003 

Alcohol, entertainment and late night refreshment licensing. Permanent or temporary licence permissions which may authorise any combination of these activities. Licences may also be needed for the individuals selling alcohol in a licensed premises. 


GAMBLING ACT 2005 

 Licences and permits for betting, gaming, machines, lotteries and other gambling activities. Some licences are dealt with by the Council and others by the Gambling Commission.


HACKNEY CARRIAGE (TAXI) AND PRIVATE HIRE

Licences for taxi and private hire drivers, operators and vehicles. The main legislation regulating these functions is the Town Police Clauses Act 1847 and Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976. Local terms and conditions apply.
